UNDP in Yemen has achieved remarkable millstones during 2024, snapshot is below:
- Over 3.1 million Yemenis gained improved access to basic services, almost half of which are women
- Nearly 1 million Yemenis have access to improved infrastructure
- Through income generations opportunities, over 108,000 Yemenis have improved livelihoods and purchasing power
- Around 500,000 people have benefited from powering public facilities with solar energy
- Through flood control, soil protection, and water management practices, 2,230 residents and farmers have received support to maintain their livelihoods
- Through modernization of the justice and rule of law institutions, over 8,000 people have benefited from the provision of services
- 300 community members have been trained in mediation and despite resolution, identifying 398 local issues
- Through development of quality business plans and provision of grants, 536 smallholders and 173 Small and Medium Enterprises with 2,456 employees have been able to improve their livelihoods and leave behind multi-dimensional poverty
