Providing a sustainable solution to electricity cuts, was part of Al-Qaten’s resilience and recovery plan. With support from the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (#SIERY) Project, the installation of solar energy systems was completed and included: • Solar panels and batteries to ensure a stable power supply • Energy-efficient lighting and fans to enhance the classroom environment, especially during hot weather Today, over 6,300 girls and boys, along with their teachers, can enjoy better learning conditions with reliable energy and reduced heat.
