In 2023, the UN Peace Support Facility (PSF) established a Small Grant Mechanism to support local-level peacebuilding initiatives. The projects of the six participating civil society organizations in the first round of the Small Grant Mechanism focused on increasing the participation of local actors in peacebuilding, especially women and young people. This was done through trainings, advocacy initiatives, implementation of public priorities and enhancing trust between security institutions and communities.
