Building trust between police and local communities is key to achieving sustainable peace

The Taiz Police Training Unit has been upgraded Through the UN Peace Support Facility's (PSF) Small Grant Mechanism, Renewal Youth Organization for Development supported Taiz police men and women with capacity building and the refurbishment and furnishing of a training hall to better respond to community needs. The organization has also supported a training of trainers program, targeting 14 police officers on key security issues. The trainers then reached over 160 police officers and community leaders.- Thanks to UNDPYemen
