Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant Tuesday told a Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting at the Knesset that Israel is facing a “multi-arena war” from seven different fronts including Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, West Bank, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran. Gallant said Israel has “responded and acted already on six of these fronts” without elaborating further. There are two different layers of meaning to Gallant's comments, Suisse Revue Militaire Editor-in-chief Alexandre Vautravers told FRANCE 24. While the defence minister's comments may reflect the IDF’s operations on different fronts, they may also be interpreted as a political message feeding into Israel's war rhetoric, Vautravers said. #Israel #Iran #war
