تم تأسيس هذا الموقع بإرادة نخبه من المغتربين المعنيين بالشأن الثقافي اليمني. يهدف الموقع لتعميم الثقافة الوطنية وترسيخ قيم الوحدة والتنوع الثقافي اليمني. يقوم موقع باب اليمن بالتنسيق مع عدد كبير من المواقع الإلكترونيه وهيئات ومؤسسات وإتحادات ومعاهد علمية وجامعات ومراكز أبحاث ودراسات متخصصة في نشر الوعي الفكري لتسجيل حضور فعال من خلال البرامج الإذاعية والفضائية والصحافية يمنياً وعربياً وعالمياً مما يؤدي إلى تقديم صورة حقيقية وفعاله عن اليمن السعيد وتنوع أنساقه الثقافية وعمقه التاريخي. إن موقعنا يعتمد على آليات تتمثل في تتبع أفضل القواعد المهنية في الترويج والتعميم الفكري والإعلامي والفني لبرامجها من خلال الحضور في أجهزة الإعلام وتنظيم الفعاليات الميدانية والتعامل الحيوي مع الوسائط المتعددة باعتبار أن هذه الروافد مجتمعة تمثل المسار العام.
