Even before war broke out between the government and Houthi rebels, Yemen ranked among the world's most water-stressed countries. Now, damage to infrastructure and rising temperatures resulting from climate change have made the situation critical. As a result, many are forced to queue up for hours to fill jerry cans at public water tanks and it is often children, who would otherwise be at school, waiting in line.
