IMPACT: 5 years of the SIERY Project

In 2020, the European Union and UNDP Yemen launched the Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen (SIERY) Project—an initiative aimed at empowering local institutions, improving governance and driving sustainable economic development in Yemen. Today, the results speak volumes: ✔️ 177 public infrastructure projects have been revitalized, restored, or newly built ✔️ Over 7 million people have enhanced access to public services across 45 districts in 9 governorates ✔️ 6,599 jobs were created or sustained through smallholders and SMEs supported with technical training and grants ✔️ 580 SMEs and 33 producer groups have been supported This video highlights some of the projects that local authorities implemented under the SIERY Project.- Thanks to UNDPYemen
